The house
Bortnikoff is a perfume house founded in 2018 in Thailand by Dmitry Bortnikoff, an architect by training and a perfumer by calling. In 2013, he co-founded Feel-Oud, a distillery specializing in some of the finest oud and sandalwood oils in the world. Many of the oils in his fragrances are distilled by the house itself, using 19th-century techniques. Each composition contains 95 to 100% natural ingredients. The range is divided into several collections: Main, Ouds, Elixir, Cologne and Entry Level.

Yuzu Cologne is a Bortnikoff Extrait de Cologne from the resinous citrus family. Japanese yuzu and elemi form a bright, balsamic opening, followed by a heart of ambergris and Siam benzoin. The base of Trat oud and vanilla gives this cologne a depth rarely found in the genre. A fresh yuzu fragrance with depth and staying power.
Yuzu Cologne belongs to Bortnikoff's Cologne collection, like Amber Cologne and Oud Cologne. The house applies the same principles here as to its extraits: 95 to 100% natural ingredients and ouds it knows from distillation onward. It will appeal to those who want to approach oud through a fresh door.
Yes, Yuzu Cologne is unisex, like all Bortnikoff fragrances.
About 5 to 7 hours on the skin. That is longer than a classic cologne, thanks to the ambergris, benzoin and Trat oud in the base.
To give depth to freshness. Bortnikoff presents Yuzu Cologne as a dialogue between light and shadow: yuzu and elemi in the top, Trat oud and vanilla in the base.
50 / 2 ml, Resinous citrus
by Bortnikoff
Yuzu Cologne celebrates the meeting of citrus and resins, the light of dawn and the depth of natural materials. Japanese yuzu provides the brightness, and elemi extends its clarity. This accord sets a freshness that is both invigorating and refined.
In the heart, ambergris and Siam benzoin bring a warmth that contrasts with this opening. The base of Trat oud and vanilla then anchors the composition and leaves a soft yet powerful trace on the skin. For Bortnikoff, Yuzu Cologne goes beyond simple freshness: it is a dialogue between shadow and light, citrus and resin, energy and calm. A contemporary cologne that bears the signature of the house.
Japanese yuzu opens with a tangy, sparkling freshness. Elemi gives it a balsamic clarity.
The marine and mineral facets of ambergris meet the golden sweetness of Siam benzoin. A sensual warmth answers the brightness of the top notes.
Resinous, mysterious Trat oud melts into the roundness of vanilla. The sillage remains soft yet assertive.
The finest freshness is the one that keeps a little shadow.
For citrus lovers who find classic colognes fade too quickly, and for anyone who wants a fresh fragrance with character. Wear it in spring and summer, in the morning or during the day, and it suits the office well. Three to four sprays on skin and clothing; a touch-up in the afternoon revives the yuzu.
Dmitry Bortnikoff is an architect by training. He turned to distillation: in 2013, he co-founded Feel-Oud, a company that distills oud and sandalwood oils, for which he also signs several perfumes. In 2018, he founded his own house, Bortnikoff, in Thailand. Much of the oil he uses is distilled there on site, following 19th-century methods, and his compositions contain 95 to 100% natural ingredients.
He distills some materials himself, including a wild oud from Sri Lanka that he also uses as a tincture. He composes most of his perfumes alone. He co-signed a few with Rajesh Balkrishnan, then a collection with Christian Carbonnel. His son Maxim trained alongside him.
