The house
Bortnikoff is a perfume house founded in 2018 in Thailand by Dmitry Bortnikoff, an architect by training and a perfumer by calling. In 2013, he co-founded Feel-Oud, a distillery specializing in some of the finest oud and sandalwood oils in the world. Many of the oils in his fragrances are distilled by the house itself, using 19th-century techniques. Each composition contains 95 to 100% natural ingredients. The range is divided into several collections: Main, Ouds, Elixir, Cologne and Entry Level.

Siberia is a Bortnikoff Extrait de Parfum from the woody musky family. It opens on bergamot, orange, black pepper and pink pepper, then unfolds a heart of benzoin, vanilla, oakmoss and Siberian musk deer musk (kabarga). The base combines Burmese oud and cedar. It is a fragrance of contrasts, fresh at the top and warm in its depths.
Siberia belongs to the main Bortnikoff collection, alongside Chypre du Nord and Manie du Café. The latter also uses Siberian musk deer musk, in a composition built around coffee. Both illustrate the house's taste for rare natural materials, which make up 95 to 100% of each formula.
Yes. Its contrast between fresh peppers and warm woods can be worn by anyone, like all Bortnikoff fragrances.
Expect 10 to 12 hours on skin; the musk and Burmese oud extend the base.
It is the name given to Siberian musk deer musk. In Siberia, it brings depth, warmth and natural allure to the heart, in contact with benzoin and vanilla.
50 / 2 ml, Woody Musky
by Bortnikoff
Siberia is a fragrance of contrasts, where the bright freshness of the North meets the warmth of earth and wood. Its opening of citrus and peppers evokes the clarity of a cold dawn. The fragrance then builds around a singular material, Siberian musk deer musk, known as kabarga.
This musk gives the heart its depth and natural allure, amid benzoin, vanilla and the oakmoss that keeps everything in balance. The base of smoky cedar and Burmese oud brings a dry, meditative gravity. Bortnikoff sees in it the essence of northern air, pure and alive, carried by the quiet power of musk.
Bergamot and orange are lit up by black pepper and pink pepper. It is the image of an icy morning, crisp and luminous.
Benzoin and vanilla lay down a resinous sweetness, which Siberian musk deer musk makes warmer and deeper. Oakmoss adds a green texture.
Smoky cedar and Burmese oud, dry and meditative, anchor the fragrance in a quiet strength.
Cold makes things sharp; warmth must be earned.
For those who love dry woods and deep musks, and who are looking for a fragrance that is both fresh and warm. It is made for fall and winter, by day as well as in the evening. Two sprays on the skin, on the neck or the nape, let the musk develop with the warmth of the body.
Dmitry Bortnikoff is an architect by training. He turned to distillation: in 2013, he co-founded Feel-Oud, a company that distills oud and sandalwood oils, for which he also signs several perfumes. In 2018, he founded his own house, Bortnikoff, in Thailand. Much of the oil he uses is distilled there on site, following 19th-century methods, and his compositions contain 95 to 100% natural ingredients.
He distills some materials himself, including a wild oud from Sri Lanka that he also uses as a tincture. He composes most of his perfumes alone. He co-signed a few with Rajesh Balkrishnan, then a collection with Christian Carbonnel. His son Maxim trained alongside him.
