The house
Bortnikoff is a perfume house founded in 2018 in Thailand by Dmitry Bortnikoff, an architect by training and a perfumer by calling. In 2013, he co-founded Feel-Oud, a distillery specializing in some of the finest oud and sandalwood oils in the world. Many of the oils in his fragrances are distilled by the house itself, using 19th-century techniques. Each composition contains 95 to 100% natural ingredients. The range is divided into several collections: Main, Ouds, Elixir, Cologne and Entry Level.

Cologne de Feu is a citrus fruity Extrait de Cologne by Bortnikoff. It opens on bitter orange, bigarade, blood orange, litsea cubeba, tangerine, lemon and petitgrain. Its heart brings together raspberry, tea, jasmine and peach sorbet, and its base cedar, sandalwood, guaiac, crocodile wood and oakmoss. A gourmand, sunny cologne, more concentrated than a classic eau de Cologne.
Cologne de Feu is part of the Cologne collection by Bortnikoff, alongside Musk Cologne and Yuzu Cologne. The house, founded in Thailand in 2018 by Dmitry Bortnikoff, composes with 95 to 100% natural ingredients. Cologne de Feu is one of its freshest and fruitiest creations.
Yes. Its citrus, fruit and woody base are worn equally well by women and men.
As an Extrait de Cologne, expect 5 to 7 hours. The citrus fades first, while cedar, sandalwood and oakmoss linger longer. You can reapply it during the day.
In the heart, raspberry, peach sorbet and jasmine tea add a fruity, thirst-quenching facet to the citrus, which Bortnikoff describes as a gourmand profile.
50 / 2 ml, Citrus Fruity
by Bortnikoff
Cologne de Feu opens on citrus so vivid that the house speaks of a pleasure close to ecstasy. It brings together the power of the tropics, the juice of fruit and the warmth of the sun. An inner fire runs through it, warming and energizing without ever burning.
Bortnikoff describes it as a modern, refined gourmand built around citrus. Exotic litsea cubeba plays the leading role, surrounded by lemon and petitgrain. In the heart, jasmine tea, raspberry and peach sorbet bring their gourmand touch. Cedar, creamy sandalwood and oakmoss give the base its nobility.
Litsea cubeba leads a dazzling citrus opening, with juicy lemon, oranges and petitgrain. The start has the strength of the tropics and the warmth of the sun.
A thirst-quenching jasmine tea meets raspberry and peach sorbet. The heart takes a gourmand, fruity turn.
Cedar and creamy sandalwood settle in, adorned with oakmoss. Guaiac and crocodile wood complete a noble, woody base.
The sun burns only those who stare straight at it; the others, it warms.
Cologne de Feu is for citrus lovers who want something more gourmand and warmer than a classic cologne. It is a spring and summer fragrance, for daytime, weekends and late afternoons in the sun. Three to four sprays, on skin and clothing, and feel free to reapply it during the day.
Dmitry Bortnikoff is an architect by training. He turned to distillation: in 2013, he co-founded Feel-Oud, a company that distills oud and sandalwood oils, for which he also signs several perfumes. In 2018, he founded his own house, Bortnikoff, in Thailand. Much of the oil he uses is distilled there on site, following 19th-century methods, and his compositions contain 95 to 100% natural ingredients.
He distills some materials himself, including a wild oud from Sri Lanka that he also uses as a tincture. He composes most of his perfumes alone. He co-signed a few with Rajesh Balkrishnan, then a collection with Christian Carbonnel. His son Maxim trained alongside him.
