Bidzina Kanchaveli

Kanchaveli is the studio of Bidzina Kanchaveli, an artist born in Georgia and based in Berlin. Trained as a playwright and filmmaker, he came to perfume through aromas, and today he composes auteur perfumes on his own, each built from an abstract idea. He makes the bottles himself, set into limited, numbered sculptures.

The house has two series. The Color Series brings together White and Yellow, two 30 ml eaux de parfum housed in a concrete sculpture: White, a citrus vanilla that drifts towards saffron and leather, and Yellow, a lemony leather with cinnamon. The Emotion Series turns four negative emotions, Fear, Hate, Grief and Envy, into extraits de parfum presented in porcelain, each composed by the artist at the very moment he was feeling it.

These perfumes change a great deal on the skin and cannot be judged on a first try. Start with White, and with the 2 ml sample when it is available, before choosing your bottle.
