The house
Adi ale Van
Adi ale Van is a house of olfactory art founded in 2021 in Romania by the artist of the same name. Everything is handmade, in limited editions: the bottle, the stopper, the decoration and the box are painted and assembled one by one, so that no piece can ever be reproduced identically. The extraits range from 22% to 40% concentration and macerate for 4 to 30 months before bottling. The compositions are signed by Jimmy Bodin, Giovanni Festa, Anne-Sophie Behaghel, Antonio Alessandria, Camille Chemardin, Michele Marin, Flavius Calaj and David-Lev Jipa-Slivinschi. The inspiration comes from Romanian rural traditions, family memory and a folklore the house helps to preserve.

The heart of the cake
“Miez” is Romanian for the crumb: the soft part, the one you reach for first. The formula is short and deliberately legible: seven materials, one idea.
The olfactory journey
Opening: spice
Cinnamon and gingerbread open warm and direct, with no detour and no added freshness.
Heart: the grain
Oat flakes and hazelnuts make up a creamy, cereal heart, soft and comforting. This is where the fragrance earns its name.
Base: sugar
Chocolate, Madagascar vanilla and sugar close on a frankly gourmand base, dense and long-lasting.

About the bottle
Every Adi ale Van bottle is shaped and hand-painted in Romania: colors, decoration and the finish of the stopper vary from one piece to the next. Your bottle will not be exactly the one in the photo; it will be faithful to it, yet unique. Irregularities are not defects: they are the signature of artisanal work. Production begins once your order is placed.

Composed by Jimmy Bodin
Jimmy Bodin is a self-taught French perfumer. He grew up in modest circumstances, with a mother who loved luxury perfumes. He came to composition while trying to decode an oriental perfume he could not afford to buy again. He then learned on his own, one material at a time, without going through a school. In 2020, he founded the house Jousset Parfums, named after his mother.
He is its in-house perfumer. His compositions, which the brand calls Ultra-Gourmand, are made in France in the house's workshop. He also composes for other brands, including The Unleashed Apothecary, Perestish Parfums, Marble Oud and Le Frag. For himself, he says he mostly wears oud perfumes, and he finds their structure echoed in his gourmands.
