Tada Parfumeur
Tada Parfumeur est une maison de parfumerie indépendante thaïlandaise. Ses parfums naissent de souvenirs précis : des thés verts goûtés au Japon, une ruelle de Beppu, les brasseries de saké du Kansai, les desserts et la glace à la coco de Thaïlande, une imprimerie de fanzines. La maison travaille l'eau de parfum comme l'extrait, signe des collaborations avec des artistes et des ateliers locaux, et emploie des matières sourcées sur place, tel le patchouli de Chonburi. Sa Exclusive Collection réunit des extraits en 30 ml produits en très petites séries.

Itim Kati de Tada Parfumeur, la glace à la coco en parfum
L'ouverture est franchement lactée : crème de coco, lait concentré et une note noisetée qui imite les cacahuètes grillées. Le sucre de palme et la barbe à papa poussent le gourmand, rattrapés par l'amertume balsamique du benjoin du Siam et de la fève tonka. Le CO2 de coco torréfiée remplace ensuite le lacté par du grillé, sur un fond de vanille et de santal. Sept à neuf heures.
L'itim kati est la glace à la noix de coco des marchands ambulants thaïlandais, arrosée de lait concentré et couverte de cacahuètes. Le parfum tient autant du dessert que de l'attente de la charrette. C'est le plus franc des gourmands de la maison, plus dense que Lamoon et plus sucré que Gyokuro. Deux pulvérisations suffisent.

The spirit of the perfume
Itim kati is the coconut ice cream sold by street vendors in Thailand, drizzled with condensed milk and topped with peanuts.
What the perfumer remembers most is waving at the cart and watching it roll past without stopping. The perfume is as much about the ice cream as about the waiting.
The olfactory journey
Opening: coconut cream
The opening is frankly milky, coconut and condensed milk, with a nutty note that mimics the roasted peanuts scattered over the ice cream.
Heart: palm sugar
Palm sugar and cotton candy push the gourmand side, but Siam benzoin and tonka rein them in with a balsamic bitterness. Jasmine lightens the whole.
Base and sillage: roasted coconut
Roasted coconut CO2 replaces the milkiness with something toasted. Vanilla, woods and sandalwood close on something dry and warm.

Who is it for?
For those who embrace an outright gourmand, without wanting it syrupy. Fall and winter suit it well, and two sprays are enough.
Composed by Tada Archawong
Tada Archawong is a self-taught Thai perfumer. He first worked as a director of photography. He launched his first brand, Natural Teller, after a year and a half of learning on his own. Today he runs two houses for which he signs the formulas, Tada Parfumeur and Shaman Perfumery. Along with his friend Prin Lomros, he is one of Thailand's first independent perfumers.
He composes from images. On his travels, often to Japan, he notes his ideas in a notebook, then looks for the materials that can render the scene he has in mind. He devoted a series of perfumes to Dante's Divine Comedy, built around Thai ouds. He has also worked with the sake house Emishiki on a sake accord.
