The fruity oriental with 5% pure oud
Oud is a 35% extrait de parfum by Aaron Terence Hughes. Rose and sweet orange open onto a fruity, ambery heart of date and raspberry, before 5% pure oud (Thai and Burmese) lays down an opulent base enriched with benzoin, patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla and ambergris. Longevity 5/5, sillage 5/5, projection 5/5.

Romantic rose and sunny sweet orange. A luminous floral-citrus entrance that contrasts with the woody depth to come.
Heart: fruity amber
Sweet date, juicy raspberry and golden amber, evoking candied oriental desserts.
Base: woody opulence
Resinous Thai oud and leathery Burmese oud, softened by balsamic benzoin and vanilla, supported by patchouli, sandalwood and the minerality of ambergris. More than 12 hours of longevity.

Composed by Aaron Terence Hughes
Aaron Terence Hughes is a British perfumer and the founder of the independent house that bears his name, launched in April 2019. Born in Cornwall, he grew up on his family's flower farm. As a child, he spent his pocket money on essential oils and crushed flowers on his arm to see how their scent changed with the warmth of the skin. He first set out to become a dancer and won a scholarship to train at Rambert in London, before giving it up.
After a spell in hairdressing, he studied cosmetic science in London, then chemistry in Cardiff, and worked as a cosmetic product safety assessor. Disappointed by the perfumes he wore, he began composing his own. He says he works according to his mood and follows only his intuition. He presents his work on his YouTube channel.
